Welcome, and thank you for being here. I’m Dr. Ladera Linn, the founder of Opal Psychological.
I am a licensed clinical psychologist in California specializing in behavioral medicine. I was trained in Health Psychology, which focuses on how biological, psychological, and social factors influence health and illness. I explore the connection between mental and physical well-being, helping individuals manage stress, cope with chronic conditions, and adopt healthier lifestyles.
I often collaborate with medical professionals to promote holistic care, improve treatment outcomes, and enhance quality of life.
I use a culturally sensitive, trauma-informed, and strengths-based approach, integrating CBT, ACT, DBT, mindfulness, and other evidence-based interventions to empower patients to achieve their health and wellness goals.

My Education & Training
I hold a Doctorate in Clinical Psychology with a specialization in Health Psychology and have been in the mental health field since 2015. I’m passionate about providing individual and group therapy and conducting psychological assessments. I believe therapy should be as accessible and essential as primary care, dental visits, and other vital health services.
I earned my degree from Pacific University in Oregon and completed my internship at the Guam Behavioral Health & Wellness Center, where I conducted psychodiagnostic evaluations for individuals with severe and persistent mental illness. Later, I completed my Postdoctoral Fellowship in Health Psychology at The Clinic of California.
I have worked in many settings, including inpatient, outpatient, residential, primary care, and hospital treatment settings.
